The Counseling Process

Counseling is healing and supporting the individual in moving towards better overall health. There is no “one size fits all” approach to counseling, the process
is based on each individual’s unique needs. The approach will be established on respect, empowerment, and collaborating as a team between the counselor and client.

Counseling is a process, not an event. We are professionals and specialists in mental health and emotions. However, the client is the most knowledgeable about themselves, which plays an important role in treatment.

For the past 23 years, I have been advocating and providing case management and therapy for a variety of different mental health disorders and illnesses.
My background has been in psychology and have a Master’s degree in Education, Professional Counseling, and Human Resources. My licensing is LCPC, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. My experience in therapy has been diverse, which has allowed me to gain extensive experience and knowledge of human behavior.
The main goal is to work with you, the client, through the difficulties and struggles which brings you into therapy so you may become a healthier person inside.
My focus is getting to know the individual and forming a trusting, caring, and supportive relationship.
